We got tired of overpaying.
WisTrips started the way most good travel projects start with a group of frequent travelers comparing notes after one too many trips where someone found a flight for half the price, or a hotel that was a fraction of what we paid two weeks earlier. The deals were always out there. They were just buried under bad search tools, marketing fluff, and websites that cared more about commissions than about whether you actually had a good trip.
So we built the resource we wished we had.
What WisTrips is about
WisTrips is a travel hacking and smart-value travel blog. We dig into flight deals, point-and-mile tricks, accommodation hacks, off-peak timing, and the small organizational moves that turn an expensive trip into a great-value one. Every guide we publish answers the same question: how do we get more out of this trip without spending more than we need to?
We focus on three things:
- Travel hacks that actually work — tested by us, not copied from a press release.
- Price-to-value thinking — sometimes the cheapest option is a trap; sometimes paying €30 more saves you a day. We tell you which is which.
- Organization — itineraries, checklists, and planning templates so you spend less time stressing and more time traveling.
Who’s behind it
We’re a small team of EU-based travelers — a mix of weekend explorers, long-haul backpackers, and the kind of people who refresh Google Flights for fun. Booked thousands of flights and stays, and made enough booking mistakes that you don’t have to.
We write under the WisTrips name rather than individual bylines because the tips, prices, and routes we share come from all of us pooling what works.y not expressly permitted above, please contact us at [Your Contact Email].
